John Schmaling NP
My name is John Schmaling and I originate from Colorado. I started working in the healthcare profession at the age of 16, obtaining my LPN license in 1980. I came to Tucson in 1997 to attend college at U of A. While there, I fell in love with Tucson and decided to stay.
I began working for a large insurance company and had a small private practice, making home visits for people that could not get out to their doctor. I found this work very rewarding and made the decision to do it full time.
In 2007 I founded Providers Direct and over the years several of my friends and colleagues have joined the practice. We feel that making a difference in the lives of those we serve and providing services that no other practice offers makes our practice a successful venture. Our goals here are to provide excellent healthcare to individuals who otherwise may not have access to healthcare. For this reason, Providers Direct is contracted with AHCCCS and offers significant cash discounts for individuals that do not have insurance.
